Simple Shoes Spring Delivery

Good Things Boutique received a new Spring shipment of Simple Shoes this week. In Women’s sizes 6 through 9.5 we have the Satire Elastic style in Bison. These slip-on sneakers are cute, comfortable, and easy for any on-the-go lifestyle. In Men’s sizes 9 through 12 we have the Gumshoe in Lead Grey. These attractive loafer style shoes are so versatile they will likely become an everyday staple for the men.

We also have two styles from the new Bio-D collection, which are made with biodegradable soles. These nifty sneakers are embedded with microbes that eat away at the compounds that hold the material together, causing them to break down into dirt in about 20 years under landfill conditions. Typically it can take up to 1,000 years for rubber to biodegrade in the landfills. It’s nice to know these shoes will last as long as they need to, but won’t hang around to cause problems for future generations! We are currently carrying the D-Solve for Men and the D-Kay for Women. These shoes are extremely lightweight and comfortable, so you will feel good wearing them in more ways than one.

We received some new inventory of Nativ printed t-shirts this week. We have White and Red long sleeve styles in women’s sizes, S-XL. Holiday Open House with l.e. custom design Jewelry

Good Things Boutique will be holding a Holiday Open House on Thursday, Dec 3rd from 5-8 pm. During the open house we are featuring jewelry designs by Lauren Embree of l.e custom design. Lauren creates beautiful new pieces out of vintage and cast-off materials paired with semi-precious stones and gems. Her winter collection, Vintage Goddess, incorporates chains and other metal findings in graceful combinations with these stones and vintage materials.

The evening will include snacks, refreshments, and an opportunity to meet and mingle with the artist. While you are here stop in next door at Dark Star Visuals, where the fun continues. Stacey and the DSV girls will be holding their holiday open house on the same evening. So come downtown on Dec 3rd for the 1st Thursday gallery walk and stop by Good Things Boutique for unique holiday gift ideas. You can support local businesses and local artists while you find something special for your loved ones.

Good Things Boutique will also be treating customers to a special sale during the open house. You must stop in that evening to find out what it is, and trust me, it will be good. New Simple Shoes and Boots in This Week!

Good Things Boutique received a few new Simple Shoes styles for the ladies this week. There are two new Satire sneaker styles. One of them is a sustainable silk in purple, the new “it” color of the season. The other one is made from bamboo velvet and has slightly dressier ribbon laces. Also new to the Simple assortment here is the Carry-On boot. It is the eco-sneak version of their Toest boot with the fold-over knit upper, a very cozy style indeed. Made from suede and organic cotton, this boot is both comfy and attractive. It also happens to be the most economical boot in the collection, that’s good news for everyone. We had a good trunk show with Bella Vita Jewelry this past Saturday. Thanks so much to everyone who attended and added to the success of this event. Brandy Thomason is a talented designer who’s work is both unique and easily wearable. The earrings I purchased will go with almost every outfit and can be worn just about everyday, so I will definitely get every penny out of them! It was a lot of fun pairing the perfect pieces with the right women. With so much to choose from, there was something for everyone. As before, it was a real pleasure working with Brandy all day and I look forward to the next opportunity to collaborate with her. Jewelry Trunk Show for Bella Vita Jewelry

Our first trunk show for Bella Vita Jewelry back in July was so successful that we decided to bring you another one, just in time for the holidays. Brandy has been working hard to create several new unique designs that will be sure to spark your interest. Her jewelry would make a very special gift for someone, but chances are you won’t want to give any of it away (trust me on this).

The jewelry show will take place this Saturday, November 14th, from noon to five at Good Things Boutique. Each piece of clothing is handmade by Kelly and other local artisans using eco-friendly materials and ethical practices. The result is limited-run, high-quality clothing with a conscience. Ladies Night Out Fashion Show

Good Things Boutique sent four models down the runway on Thursday for the 7th anual Ladies Night Out. A big thanks to the 1500 ladies (and handful of gents) who showed up to participate in this year’s event. It was a lot of fun!

We had the chance to show many more potential customers how stylish sustainable clothing and accessories can be. Our models looked so great and did such a good job representing how real women look, wearing beautiful clothes that fit into real life. I really appreciate everyone’s participation and awesomeness!
