What’s Good About Fair Trade

What’s Good About Fair Trade

Fair Trade is a better way to do business. It provides opportunity for workers and craftspeople in developing countries to earn a living wage for their skills, gaining access to technology, support systems and world markets through these long-term partnerships. Fair trade is a best practice among socially responsible companies, demanding accountability for businesses and promoting mutual respect. Although this way of doing business is gaining momentum, it is not yet the norm (especially among some of the biggest companies). Look for the Fair Trade Organization logo when making purchases and consciously support the companies that share these values. Fair trade may mean paying slightly more for certain goods, but in the long run it means a more equitable and sustainable future for everyone.  Simply put, the quality of life improves for everyone when everyone does well.  When you see the beautiful handmade fair trade pieces at Good Things Boutique, you will surely appreciate their quality, design and individuality. We proudly carry fair trade products from Indigenous Designs, Global Girlfriend and Mad Imports, just to name a few.
