What’s Good About Buying Local
Posted Jul 02, 2009 by Jessy Lang in What's Good
Locally owned businesses and local artists need our support because they enrich what we already love about the city of Fayetteville - it’s individuality and diversity. Let’s face it, we Americans like to have choices. Fostering an environment where individual businesses can thrive is the best thing we can do to increase our available choices. Having a supportive community encourages the entrepreneurial spirit. Good Things Boutique is a locally owned and operated business that supports local artists and craftspeople as well as other local businesses. We currently have 9 different artists represented from Fayetteville and the surrounding area. It is such a pleasure to offer goods that were made right here rather than purchasing them from out of state. Talk about keeping dollars circulating closer to home!
Good Things Boutique is proud to be a member of the Fayetteville Independent Business Alliance. This first-year organization unites independent businesses and raises awareness of the value they add to our community. Please check out the FIBA website to learn more about it and see a list of all current members. As we celebrate Independence Day this weekend, I would like to suggest making a conscious effort to support other local independent businesses. It feels good to take care of our own.
